Web Site Of the Week Award

Here's what Bob Dunsire of the Bagpipe Web Directory said about the site....

"With many viewer nominations for WSOW, this Northern Ireland band's site is one you might (sort of) recognise. Yes, it is another excellent web site by a previous WSOW winner, webmaster Rodney Brownlee.  Here you'll find examples of many of the nice touches that make piping sites memorable (IMHO): Attractive graphics, distinctive and unique colour scheme, functional frames, easy navigation, current information, efficient graphics, and lots of information. Take a look, I think you'll like it too.."

About The Band

For many years music has been an attraction in the neighbourhood of Pipe Major Irwin Lapslay Cavanaleck, of course not just pipes and drums, but also flutes and drums. The band received its name from the town land in which it is situated. Cavanaleck is one mile from Fivemiletown, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, although the townland itself lies within Co. Fermanagh. The band are the proud wearers of the Ancient MacKenzie tartan as shown in the background of this site, and have been since they obtained their first proper uniform in 1978. The current Pipe Major is Irwin Lapslay (left) from Fivemiletown.
